A nice place to visit with ample parking that is not free. There is a small selection of different shops and a cafe/ restaurant. If you are a family with children, beware, as there is a water race with quick flowing water that is not over protected. The day I visited there was a marquee with a painting exhibition run by Barry Sutcliffe which was really nice

Good but when I asked for a brown scone they thought I was stupidly asking for a round scone. They couldn't interpret wholemeal scone as my real meaning. Apart from that this cafe is an Good stop.

Arrived just in time for a 'guided tour' (highly recommended ) guy was lovely. After that into the 'experience ' section (for a fiver) and should not be missed. Café on site at reasonable prices and a few 'shops' within the site. My friend who was with me said summer can be a bit crowded but wrap up well and go January to March.

Lovely, friendly place to visit. Great cheese shop with a fabulous selection of cheeses. Toffee cheese! Never seen that before. Lovely craft, art and and antique shops. Nice pub meal and a walk in the woods. Lovely day.

First Arkwright factory so worth the pilgrimage. Good displays but none of the original equipment is there. Masson mill down the road is much more interesting as it still has all the old looms.

Wow what is there to dislike here. Weather was wet and a bit chilly but the experience was amazing.
